About Us

Rooted in history. Inspired by nature.

Lineage Design Co. was founded on a quiet conviction: that a home should be more than styled. It should be remembered.

We believe in a different kind of beauty—one shaped by time, made to last, and remembered long after the season fades. Our collection of 19th-century British and French antiques reflects this sensibility: each piece chosen for its ability to bring warmth, character, and continuity into the modern home.

These are not pieces for passing seasons. They are for permanence. Not only to be admired—but to be lived with.

Why Lineage?

We are a husband-and-wife team who curate every piece ourselves—traveling across the English and French countryside to source antiques of lasting character and thoughtful design.

Our paths to this work weren’t linear—mine began in the sciences, Nate’s in data and economics—but both led us to the same truth: that beauty is worth preserving, and craftsmanship is a kind of quiet legacy. We’ve studied with restorers, listened to tradesmen, and followed our instincts through brocantes and overgrown garden gates, collecting only what we believe deserves to endure. Heritage Interiors

When you welcome something from Lineage into your home, you're doing more than decorating. You’re shaping what we call a Heritage Interior™—a layered, storied space grounded in memory, softened by time, and guided by care.

A Heritage Interior™ is not about achieving a look. It is about creating a feeling—of belonging, continuity, and considered restraint.

Our collection is not curated for uniformity, but for meaning. It is assembled seasonally, deliberately, with an eye toward craftsmanship and a reverence for permanence. Everything we source is chosen to help create homes that feel grounded, personal, and alive with story.

And because these pieces were made to last—crafted from oak, stone, iron, wool, and made by hand—they offer not only beauty, but one of the most enduring forms of sustainability.

The Legacy Edit™

Among the pieces we offer, some are singular.

The Legacy Edit™ is our most exclusive offering—an evolving collection of heirloom antiques chosen for their exceptional provenance, presence, and enduring beauty.

Often acquired from private collections and countryside estates, these pieces represent the highest tier of our curatorial work. They stand apart not because they are louder, but because they speak more clearly—of history, care, and time. Each is made available by inquiry only.

To acquire a piece from the Legacy Edit™ is to participate in something enduring—a lineage of beauty, craftsmanship, and care.

Our philosophy

We believe true luxury isn’t defined by price. It’s defined by permanence, presence, and the freedom to live with things that matter.

Luxury, as we see it, is the ability to surround yourself with what endures—not for the sake of status, but for the pleasure of keeping. To own fewer things, but better ones. To choose story over surplus.

We are not here to sell antiques. We are here to help you acquire objects of character and craft—pieces that will shape your home and become part of its memory.

An Invitation

Beyond our collection, you’ll find a series of thoughtful resources: seasonal reflections in the Journal, our bi-weekly letters, and two in-depth guides—The Lineage Guide to Luxury British Interiors and its companion English Gardens at Home. Each is created to help you live with beauty—intentionally, seasonally, and well.

And should you welcome something from Lineage into your home, it will arrive with the same reverence we hold for its history—layered in botanical paper, tied with raffia ribbon, and prepared with the care of a gift chosen thoughtfully.

If you have questions, are searching for a particular piece, or simply want to learn more about the antiques we offer, we would love to hear from you. Feel free to reach out at info@lineagedesignco.com—we’re always happy to help.

Thank you for letting us be a part of your home.

Cheers,

Elizabeth & Nate
