The Founders
My love for antiques and design began when I was a child. I remember wandering through rooms full of color, art, and antiques. Each piece wasn't just beautiful; it had a story. Those rooms felt alive to me, shaped by the people who lived in them and the memories they carried.

My mother is an artist, a floral designer, a gardener, and an event planner. She taught me to see color, notice how things work together, and value the details, like making sure every floral arrangement has at least five kinds of leaves. My grandmother, a color consultant and collector, restored a nineteenth-century French chateau and shared her passion for French and Italian antiques. From her, I learned the principles of design, the importance of authenticity, and how to recognize a truly special piece. Their influence taught me to appreciate craftsmanship and thoughtful design.
While my mother’s side is all about art and interiors, my father’s family treasures books, tools, and long-standing traditions. Growing up, my grandfather showed me how satisfying it is to work with your hands and “do things the right way,” even if it took a little longer. I learned the importance of sharing knowledge, passing it gently from one generation to the next. And summers in Maine, at our family cottage in a small fishing village that’s stood for five generations, made me feel like I was part of something much bigger than myself.
Maine also taught me how much a place can shape you. Those coastal villages and fishing communities, where daily routines are guided by the tides and the weather, inspired me to pursue a career in Fisheries Resource Management. Looking back, I realize those years sparked my lifelong fascination with how people find balance with the world around them and the traditions passed down.
In my twenties, I worked in coastal communities around the world. Those experiences taught me that heritage isn’t just old things behind glass. It’s living knowledge, carried forward through practice, purpose, and care, and woven into daily life.
I’m the dreamer behind Lineage, but my husband, Nate, is the steady hand who keeps us grounded. He helps to bring my ideas to life and manages everything from finances to security. He’s the one who keeps calm when technology misbehaves and takes on the heavy lifting, sometimes literally. I’m so grateful to have him as a partner in every sense.
At fairs, Nate is the one who remembers the umbrella, the coins for the loo, and all the little things I’m bound to forget. He has a real love for history, especially old maps, books, and artifacts, which deepens his appreciation for how we connect to our past through objects. That sense of connection brings a special energy to our work. Nate reminds me daily that history isn’t just about how things look. It’s about people and the lives those objects have touched.
Together, we believe a home should tell a story, one filled with beauty, history, and a sense of belonging. That belief is what inspired us to start Lineage Design Co. We help people live with history in a way that feels meaningful, honoring craftsmanship, celebrating where things come from, and keeping the stories of the past alive in today's homes.
If you’d like to stay in touch, you’ll find us on social @lineagedesignco, or you can reach out to us at info@lineagedesignco.com. We love connecting with other like-minded collectors, designers, and history buffs who find meaning in the past and in the stories that we collectively carry forward.
With heartfelt gratitude,
